  ADAC Best Campsite 2013

  Camping Lanterna is the winner of this year’s “ADAC/ANWB Best Campsite 2013” award as one of the 144 best campsites in Europe. This award is the successor of last year’s ADAC Superplatz accolade, which was also given to Camping Lanterna. As of this year, the name has been changed and it is now being awarded by the largest German and Dutch Auto-clubs- ADAC and ANWB.

  Certificate ISO 14001

  Camping Lanterna adheres to high standards of practice to maximise environmental protection. It has established, and been certified with, Environmental Management System accreditation, according to the ISO 14001.
  The campsite adheres to a stringent environmental protection policy with strong commitment to: complying with legal requirements, the preservation and conservative use of natural resources, pollution prevention, refuse separation facilities, employee training, continuous improvement and care about environmental protection.   ADAC Superplatz 2011, 2012

  The largest European automobile club ADAC awarded Camping Lanterna in 2011 and 2012 with the Superplatz - the Red Board award. Regarded as the highest acknowledgement a campsite can achieve according to the ADAC's criteria, it is based on the same principles as the ADAC Yellow Board award. Nevertheless, the campsites must also meet additional preconditions in order to earn this "supreme quality" title. Campsite's reviews are crucial, including the sanitary facilities, to levels which the pitches have been tended to, as well as the possibilities of supply, leisure time activities and animation programmes. The prices transparently indicate the level of services offered by a certain campsite which must attain above average results in every field. To join the exclusive club of the leading European campsites, a campsite must be rated with a minimum of 4 out of a total of 5 stars in each respective category.

  Yellow board 2009, 2010

  This valuable yearly award is earned on the basis of the results gained through ADAC's inspections. Among other preconditions, the most important criteria are the sanitary facilities related standards (4* out of 5* as the minimum rating) and the pitches. The acknowledgement is awarded annually with the objective of encouraging the campsites to put in additional effort to maintain the high level of the offer within the categories of sanitary facilities and the pitches. Campsites receive a yellow board with the indication of the year as a part of the acknowledgement which can be shown in public. Camping Lanterna was awarded this acknowledgement in 2009 and 2010.

  Best Croatian campsite 2008, 2009

  Camping Lanterna had the highest rating (8.6) among all Croatian campsites in the Dutch ANWB auto-club's camping guide for 2008 and 2009. The rating criteria included the overall quality of the campsite (sanitary facilities, pitch, supply level, animation and sports activities).

  Gold Eco Award 2012, 2013

  Camping Lanterna, one of Croatia’s best campsites, has added one more title to its large number of international awards - the Gold Eco Award presented by Eurocamp, a top tour operator from Great Britain.
  Eurocamp, who feature more than 180 campsites all over Europe, assigns awards in three categories - bronze, silver and gold - to those campsites that have shown significant progress in pollution reduction, preservation of natural resources and applying the highest standards of environmental protection. Camping Lanterna joins 22 other European campsites awarded with the Gold Eco Award.

  Alan Rogers Seaside Award

  Camping Lanterna is the winner of the Alan Rogers Camping Guide award, an acknowledgment awarded to campsites which, due to service quality and the overall offer, stand out as an ideal choice for an excellent holiday. The award is designed in such a way that it reflects the diversity and quality within the Alan Rogers camping guide. Camping Lanterna was chosen among 2000 campsites, and the rating process included the comments made by the campsite assessors, the editorial staff of the Alan Rogers guide and the readers.

  Zoover certificate winner for top recommendation. Zoover International (zoover.com) is Europe's largest independent portal with guest comments on trips, accommodation facilities and destinations. Thanks to its high quality and unbiased information, a substantial number of guests use Zoover when choosing their holiday destinations.

  Best Croatian campsite 2007

  A prominent German camping club DCC (Deutscher Camping-Club) presented Camping Lanterna with great recognition and declared it the best campsite in Croatia in 2007. Camping Lanterna is the only Croatian winner of the DCC European camping award for 2007 and one of five winners in Europe. This prestigious award, which has been handed out since 1996 on the basis of the guests' satisfaction, is given to several best European campsites every year, which are chosen out of the 6000 campsites from the DCC's "Europe" camping guide.

  Winner of the quality award 2008. - 2013.

  The Croatian Camping Union uses this award to present the highest quality campsites. Camping Lanterna has been the winner of this prestigious award for 6 years in a row thanks to its beautiful location, rich gastronomic and trade offer and numerous sports and recreational amenities. The high level of the sanitary facilities equipment which, in addition to the contents intended for adults, also offer bathrooms for children and those with special needs.

• Tourism Flower - quality for Croatia 2012

  In the annual evaluation project "Tourism Flower - Quality for Croatia", Camping Lanterna was rated the best campsite in Croatia in the category of campsites with a capacity of over 1501 guests. Awards which are organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Croatian national television in cooperation with HAK (Croatian Auto Club), KUH (Croatian Camping Union) and UKH (Croatian Camping Association) are given on the basis of quality evaluation carried out in the all of the campsites in the Republic of Croatia. The basic criteria for this accolade and additional special recognition by HAK included tidiness, cleanliness, campsite layout, signs, general services as well as the overall landscaping of the campsite.

  Lifetime Achievement Award

  Every year, the Croatian Tourism Board confers honours to the most successful tourism industry workers. One of the most prestigious honours is the Croatian Tourism Lifetime Achievement Award, this year conferred to Mr. Viktor Žužić, the long-time director of Camping Lanterna in Poreč, which is otherwise managed by the company Valamar and owned by Riviera Adria, the largest Croatian tourism firm. The director of Camping Lanterna has received this award for his successful 40-year engagement in the tourism industry.

  Naj kamp 2011.

  Camping Lanterna has been named as one of the top three large campsites in Istria within the 'Best Slovenian and Croatian Camps' category, 2011. Awards were presented at the 'Festival of Camping & caravanning' in Ljubljana, Slovenia following votes from campers who were asked to nominate their personal favourites from 269 Croatian and Slovenian camps. This was the first awards ceremony organized by camping magazine Avto-Dom, tourist portal Dobro jutro, Slovenia! and camping portal avtokampi.si.

  The Camping Lanterna beach is marked with the Blue Flag - an international symbol of quality regarding a preserved environment, a high level of cleanliness of the sea and the beach, beaches which have been well tended to and the high level of services. You will find the Blue Flag at 3450 beaches and marinas in over 40 countries across Europe, as well as South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada and the Caribbean islands.
