Poreč is a town whose history dates back almost 2,000 years. It's located in the central part of the western coast of Istria. Poreč's historic town centre and the surrounding area are completely dedicated to tourism and have been regularly declared a top holiday destination within Croatia.

The old town's ancient Roman layout has been preserved and includes towers, squares and the 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica, which is one of the best preserved examples of Byzantine art in Europe, and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
